Club Trial Results

Thanks to Tom and Adrian for helping Mike lay out
Thought we might get a few more riders as a lovely
day – but just 23 – hopefully numbers will increase soon
Dry sections led to low scores – so hope
everyone enjoyed an easy day.
Please let Mike know if you can help lay out

Club Trial News & Results

Results from Northlands Club Trial results

We called it a practice trial, so only a few declared a score…..

Tom H ripped round quick to beat the weather & clean up on the Blue route.

Thanks to Tim D, Jack & Alan for laying out in the rain. And our course clearers including Team Challice & Gary Budge.

Our next trial is booked for November 15th at Rome Woods – entries will be available nearer the time. The date is later in the month due to Group trials moving forward in November.

Results from Northlands

Thanks to Team Laverdos for laying out – Tom Horsborough, Gary Stewart, Graham Kinght, James Turner and Leslie Castle – particularly on such a wet and windy morning. A low turnout due to Group Trial on same day, but those that came found a relatively easy trial in good weather – so hope all enjoyed themselves.

Charity trial results

Thanks to team and all helpers for getting everything together for this Adrian, Adam, Tim, Mike, Tony Flegg, Phil etc. Russell and anyone else who helped. We decided to make this trial 20 sections to see how it went, it was quite a lot of work to set out but we had many complimentary comments so all worthwhile which is good. Shame about the rain early Sunday morning, but it did make the sections slightly tricky. Finally thanks to Russell’s other half, Jane, for helping with the raffle all proceeds from the trial and raffle will go to Charity.

Charity/camping 2 day Trial 6th & 7th July

Charity/camping 2 day Trial 6th & 7th July

Trial Saturday from about 13.30 or so, one lap of 20 sections –

Trial Sunday from 10.30 2 laps of 20 sections.

Friday 5th July
The gate at the top corner with Green Lane will be open at noon.  Bring with you your tents, water and tipple plus food especially for the barbecue. A toilet has been ordered! There’s a few jobs to be done like collecting wood for the evening bonfire.

Saturday 2nd July
09.30 Setting out the course for the trial which starts about 1.30 pm. But before then you can hand in your contributory raffle prizes and get your arm twisted to spend excessively on tickets to win them back – it’s a terrible con but all in aid of a good cause!! Then there’s the barbecue,  and of course consuming the beer in front of the fire.

Sunday 3rd July
Is the day of the proper club trial starting at 10.30 am. Your arm will be twisted to buy even more raffle tickets, especially those not riding on Saturday. The draw will take place at lunchtime to allow winners to collect their prizes.

Later in the afternoon, it’s time to clear up and help is always welcome. We do provide rubbish bins but these are really for the beer cans/bottles, not general rubbish which we would be grateful if you could take home with you.

Club Trial Results

Thanks to Team Enfields for laying out – Graham and Bob on
Yellows and Blues and Jack on Whites with Phil Tickner-Wand on reds..

Saturday was still warm and dry – overnight rain which carried on to
Sunday changed things quite dramatically and resulted in
one of the hardest trials we’ve had for a while – the results
speak for themselves
Let’s hope for an easier time at Kingsfold next month.
