Two Day Charity Camping Trial 1-2 July

HR CAMPING WEEKEND – 1 - 2 JULY

It’s our most popular event of the year when we also raise a lot for the Club's charity as all the takings after the AMCA costs go to charity. This year we are running "normal" trials on both days. you can ride either day & camping is not compulsory! Here are dates and details :

Friday 30th June
The gate at the top corner with Green Lane will be open in the afternoon.. Hopefully the hay will be out this year, but might be too damp - so bring shears/scythe to cut your pitch!   Bring with you your tents, water and tipple plus food especially for the barbecue. There’s a few jobs to be done like  collecting wood for the evening bonfire. There will be a site toilet available.

Saturday 1st July
09.30 Setting out the course for the Trial which starts about 1.30 pm. But before then you can hand in your contributory raffle prizes and get your arm twisted to spend excessively on tickets to win them back – it’s a terrible con but all in aid of a good cause!! Then there's the barbecue, slalom championship, possibly wee-skis and of course consuming the beer in front of the fire.

Sunday 2nd July
Is the day of the Sunday club trial starting at 10.30 am. Your arm will be twisted to buy even more raffle tickets, especially those not riding on Saturday. The draw will take place at lunchtime to allow winners to collect their prizes.

Later in the afternoon, it's time to clear up and help is always welcome. We do provide rubbish bins but these are really for the beer cans/bottles, not general rubbish which we would be grateful if you could take home with you.

CLUB TRIAL - 5TH MARCH NORTHLANDS WOODS
Thanks to Team Enfields, Sean, Derek TW and Tim Dowling
for laying out. Unfortunately heavy rain early Sunday morning seemed
to deter a lot of people so only 20 braved the weather and out of
that 20 only 10 finished - Let's hope for better weather for Kingsfold next month.
Slight confusion as it seems Mike had put in a course with 11 sections, this
wasn't noticed while setting out - so if your score is not what you thought it would be
that is probably the reason!
We will be holding our AGM on Wednesday 12th April 8 pm at The Star, Rusper
Everyone welcome particularly if you would like to volunteer to help out with anything!
NEXT TRIAL - KINGSFOLD - 2ND APRIL - TEAM HARLEYS

Thanks to Team Greevies for setting out, Tom Horsborough, Graham Knight,
Les Castle and Paul Barnes. Heavy rain on Friday didn't have much affect on
the ground which led to dry, fairly easy trial, but very cold. Seems Leon tried
to warm hmself by setting his brakes on fire !!  results-nov
