Everyone had a good weekend, Russell and Adrian being the stalwart campers on both nights and also laying out and clearing up, so thanks to them and Adam, Josh and Jack Everyone said they enjoyed the trial, no rain was a bonus and the sections on the easier side made for a contented entry particularly if they had won a raffle prize also. Thanks to everyone for helping out.
NEXT TRIAL - KINGSFOLD - 7th AUGUST TEAM FANTICS Adrian is looking for someone to help layout whites - please give him a ring if you could help.

Charity two day camping trial

HR CAMPING WEEKEND – 1 - 3 JULY

It’s our most popular event of the year when we also raise a lot for Riders for Health as all the takings after the AMCA costs go to charity. Here are dates and details :

Friday 1st July
The gate at the top corner with Green Lane will be open at noon. Hopefully the hay will be out this year, but might be too damp - so bring shears/scythe to cut your pitch!   Bring with you your tents, water and tipple plus food especially for the barbecue. There’s a few jobs to be done like  collecting wood for the evening bonfire.

gaterules

Saturday 2nd July
09.30 Setting out the course for the YANKEE Trial which starts about 1.30 pm. But before then you can hand in your contributory raffle prizes and get your arm twisted to spend excessively on tickets to win them back – it’s a terrible con but all in aid of a good cause!! Then there's the barbecue, slalom championship, possibly wee-skis and of course consuming the beer in front of the fire.

Sunday 3rd July
Is the day of the proper club trial starting at 10.30 am. Your arm will be twisted to buy even more raffle tickets, especially those not riding on Saturday. The draw will take place at lunchtime to allow winners to collect their prizes.

Later in the afternoon, it's time to clear up and help is always welcome. We do provide rubbish bins but these are really for the beer cans/bottles, not general rubbish which we would be grateful if you could take home with you.

hrclogo2ss    HR CAMPING WEEKEND

Thanks to everyone who helped this weekend – although the weather wasn't quite as good as last year, we still had some hardened campers arrive on Friday evening to enjoy the bonfire in slightly damp conditions. Good to see the team of Fleggs and Walkers all in attendance although Stuart was missing claiming injury of some sort.

Saturday morning Team Kwackers were busy laying out the sections for the Yankee Trial in the afternnon followed by the slalom and BBQ, Bonfire and Booze. No big crashes this year, but Tony F somewhat faster than the competition.

The Kwackers team were out again Sunday morning tweaking the sections after a bit more rain overnight. Not a huge turnout for the trial – 32 on Sunday but it seems other events were on the same day.

As usual we twisted everyone's arm for the raffle and Anita kindly drew the tickets again – winners were Mark Ross, Adrian H, Phil W, Michael Hyden, Harry Ross, Mark Ross, Mick Dunstan, Martin Turner, Tim H, Joe Aldrich, Steve Parker, Tony Flegg and Ian Johnston, - so many people brought prizes that a couple of winners went away with what they had brought! - other than Steve Parker who said he wasn't taking the Sherry back (although I believe it was a good one – so Harry got it instead!)

Another good weekend, and with so many helpers all was cleared up quickly on Sunday afternoon, thanks to Team Kwackers, Tony, Phil, and Adrian & Adam who assisted and laid out the slalom

Slalom results were – Tony 26.74 Adrian 28.63, Mike 28.64, Tim 31.20, Chris H 32.64 and Adam 33.68

NEXT MONTHS TRIAL IS AT KINGSFOLD – TEAM FANTICS
