CLUB TRIAL – KINGSFOLD 4TH AUGUST 2019
Thanks to Team Fantics for laying out – Adam and Barrie Birchmore, Bob Wort, John Illingworth and Jacob and Adrian – not really the team but good of them to help lay out. Yellows had an easy day but not so for the blues but hopefully everyone enjoyed the day.
NEXT TRIAL – 1ST SEPTEMBER – TEAM JIMMIES MANNINGS HEATH
Thanks to team and all helpers for getting everything together for this Adrian, Adam, Tim, Mike, Tony Flegg, Phil etc. Russell and anyone else who helped. We decided to make this trial 20 sections to see how it went, it was quite a lot of work to set out but we had many complimentary comments so all worthwhile which is good. Shame about the rain early Sunday morning, but it did make the sections slightly tricky. Finally thanks to Russell’s other half, Jane, for helping with the raffle all proceeds from the trial and raffle will go to Charity.
NEXT TRIAL – 4TH AUGUST KINGSFOLD – TEAM FANTICS
Charity/camping 2 day Trial 6th & 7th July
Trial Saturday from about 13.30 or so, one lap of 20 sections –
Trial Sunday from 10.30 2 laps of 20 sections.
Friday 5th July
The gate at the top corner with Green Lane will be open at noon. Bring with you your tents, water and tipple plus food especially for the barbecue. A toilet has been ordered! There’s a few jobs to be done like collecting wood for the evening bonfire.
Saturday 2nd July
09.30 Setting out the course for the trial which starts about 1.30 pm. But before then you can hand in your contributory raffle prizes and get your arm twisted to spend excessively on tickets to win them back – it’s a terrible con but all in aid of a good cause!! Then there’s the barbecue, and of course consuming the beer in front of the fire.
Sunday 3rd July
Is the day of the proper club trial starting at 10.30 am. Your arm will be twisted to buy even more raffle tickets, especially those not riding on Saturday. The draw will take place at lunchtime to allow winners to collect their prizes.
Later in the afternoon, it’s time to clear up and help is always welcome. We do provide rubbish bins but these are really for the beer cans/bottles, not general rubbish which we would be grateful if you could take home with you.
And here’s some pics from 10 years ago! 2009 Camping Trial

CLUB TRIAL – ROME WOODS – 2ND JUNE
Thanks to Michael Hyden, Chris Heron and Adrian H for
laying out. A warm, dry and sunny Rome Woods was a change
but still a low entry due to Bluebeard/Whitebeards weekend.
Relatively easy for most and hope everyone enjoyed the day.
NEXT TRIAL – 6/7TH JULY CAMPING WEEKEND – NORTHLANDS – TEAM KWACKERS
Trial Saturday pm and Sunday as normal. The site will be open Friday
evening if anyone wants to camp or come for a beer round the fire.
The plan is to lay out 20 sections, (weather permitting) – and there will
1 lap Saturday and 2 laps on the Sunday.
Day entries available, Mike 07967 818841
Results from Mannings Heath
Thanks to Team Indians for laying out, Jack Taylor, Ian McCulloch and Ian J. An easy ride for most and good to see some old faces – Sam and Joe Davidson, and Kevin Brooker with his daughter Bea – and Phil W who said Tony would also have been there had he not been out the night before! Hope to see them all at the camping weekend in July. Tracey had a bit of tumble and hurt her shoulder – hope all OK now Tracey.
GROUP TRIAL – SUNDAY 12TH MAY – ENTRY FORM ON HR WEBSITE/facebook AND PLEASE LET MIKE KNOW IF YOU CAN OBSERVE – THANKS
NEXT TRIAL – ROME WOODS – 2ND JUNE – TEAM MONTIES
Entries to date, more welcome!

HR Club trial this Sunday at Mannings Heath, followed by our Bluebell Trial (group trial) at Rome Woods on the 12th. So far…very few entries received – we really like riders to enter in advance as it makes the admin & signing on a lot easier on the day and also it’s good to see some support for running a bigger event like this. It’s possible that Clint may be on his hols, so I will need some help with laying out on the Saturday Morning. On the day we’ll need help with clearing up and Observing – there is a small cash “bung” for observers! Here’s hoping you can help, Mike
CLUB TRIAL -ROME WOODS – 6TH JANUARY 2019
For once in January Rome Woods was dry which meant the
Yellows certainly had an easy time, good to see John Yardley
finish after he had cut his leg badly a few months ago.
Blues were around average, but the only 2 white riders seemed to
struggle a bit.
NEXT TRIAL -3RD FEBRUARY – MANNINGS HEATH TEAM COSSACKS
